Continuing education points earned during your 3-year cycle.

At least 10 of your 50 points must come from formal education.

Attend at least one NTLA conference or symposium each year.

Paid once every 3 years to keep your designation active.

How it works

Renewing in NTLA University

Renewal happens in NTLA University. Your points are self-reported and update on your dashboard as soon as you submit.

Click Renew Now and complete your $150 renewal for another 3 years as a CTLP®.

Log your CE activities

In the CTLP® Continuing Education & Renewal course, list each activity with its name and date and sign the attestation.

Reaffirm the Code of Ethics

Complete the renewal lesson to reaffirm the NTLA Code of Ethics.

Keep your records

NTLA audits CTLP® records each December, so keep proof of every activity.

  • Annual audits of CTLP® records each December
  • A 6-month grace period after your designation expires
  • Existing designees have a 9-month grace period to a December renewal at the $150 fee
  • Misrepresentation of points or attendance may result in revocation
